We love finding Tall Ships, and Halifax is a great place to go for their Tall Ship festival and Halifax hosts a War of 1812 museum, showing the conflict from the British perspective.

Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore hosting of Tall Ships, together with the War of 1812, from the American perspective, make for a great visit to this historic US city.

The defense of the Baltimore harbor against the British blockade, during the War of 1812, led to Francis Scott Key penning the Star Spangled Banner, which would become the US' national anthem.
