Cancun is one of the best of Mexico, great night life, fantastic food places, good shopping and great hotels.
And on top of that, you can meet the locals and enjoy the city.
The places along Zona Hotelera include great hotels like Marriott's Casa Magna, exciting shopping at Plaza La Isla Village and the great nighttime scene around Coco Bongo.
For great dining, you can get local in La Isla, La Parrillia is a very good one, or Taco Factory (check the Cancun restaurants's directory).
Getting into downtown Cancun, a great place to shop is Market 23 for local fare or Market 28 for tourist shopping.
